Lack of education, not just in the US, is a major problem. A strong, educated mind is what the world needs. On the other hand, the school system, mostly worldwide, is the biggest problem. This is both the reason people lack education, and, often, the reason for most mental illnesses. My conclusion is, to fix education, we need to fix the schools.
