I think they way most people come to conclusions is based mainly on experience. How a person reacts to what goes on in the world. From what vantage point are you looking from. How does it affect you. Gut reactions. You try to analyze things objectively as best you can. I really don't think I'm much different from you.

They come from how I see things based on the info I recieve.

The purpose of a debate is not to promote a manifesto. It's to make a general point. This is my initial contact with you and I have no idea what you've said in the past. If you tell me the only needs a person has is to eat deficate and sleep my response would be in that case you can attain all those things in prison. I think humanity has needs that go far beyond basic life needs. I think history shows that repressing human need creates a violent response.

I'm not gonna try to change your philosophy if thats how you see it. I see things more in terms of society. Particularly a free society. Freedom is freedom of Government intrusions but to me it's also freedom from poverty.

There are life needs and there are immediate needs. Giving money helps for immediate needs. Life needs are dealt with by learning. I would say to someone,find what they believe in and pursue it. I can't decide what life need a person should pursue.

The hardest thing to do is give people money. Thats because money is what we've been taught to value most. So I try to help people that way. To help myself, its the effort of not becoming accepting of a life of just existence. Like everyone else I sometimes screw up.

Probably not much diffrent then what you want. Treat everyone with dignity and respect however say the truth as you see it. Help people, and acknowledge the help you recieve. I don't believe it only comes from God but I believe in decency,be decent.

You are correct,this is why I don't value one society over another. When I say German society is more advanced than American its because they've addressed their historical injustices in away that we never have,they have a sucessful economy with much less urban blight and they have better health care. I mainly address the injustices of my society because a movement has existed all my life to lessen the affect of those injustices to the present.

Interestingly enough the world came to me. People from all over the world come to the great cities. I've had conversations with folk from Vietnam, Ghana, Isreal,Russia and Ukraine etc. However the society that affected my life and in fact changed my life most profoundly was the African American counterculture. My basic belief that America was the righteous beacon of freedom to the world was completely upended by a new truth, one who's effect was there for the world to see. The new way of promoting racism today has just as many implications as jim crow or even slavery. It establishes a social movement that will not address issues of minority poverty rather than to just accept it as an imperfect world. This will be like discarding millions of human beings.

My philosophy is a hard one for most to accept. I don't believe in greatness when it comes to a society. I believe in goodness, based not on edict of God but instead on life. What ever promotes life dignity mutual respect, keep in mind I don't speak of pacifism I speak of security. The U.S. policy has been one of peace through superior war power instead of deterance. This to me is unenlightened. The 3 pointers you refer to for me would be to address all past injustice, eduacate and promote a healthy society rather than monetizing basic needs. And to allow for a world order not based on warpower. European society has I believe established the current world order on imperial war power. Asia is standing by to challenge that order or at least to alter it.

When I say great I mean it in terms of relative to other empires, I do not at all mean virtue. All societies including American have based their aquisition of wealth on their ability to make war. I believe all society would be cleaner richer and more enlightened if this was not so. I truly believe the concept of a good war does not exist. WW 2 is usually refrenced as a righteous cause but I believe if you look at the power brokering and factions that occured it was in fact a war to finally establish a world order. Germany was indeed the most advanced nation in the world at the time however hatred destroyed that society. Today as a much less militaristic nation Germany once again is one of the most advanced nations,more socially advanced than the U.S.

All wars are primarily fought to decide the system of power. Germany wanted to be the primary nation of Europe and lost a terrible war of attrition in 1918. WW2 was basically again to decide which nation would attain prominence. The U.S. then became the greatest and richest empire in history.

Spreading democracy is not true. Guatamala in 54 had a Democracy and the CIA backed coup installed a Military dictatorship. We backed dictatorship in Salvador, Nicaragua ,Cuba, we backed the Shaw,the Chile debacle with Allende,Cambodia Vietnam corruption.

Men like great legacy,men like wealthy status and power. War has historically bestowed these things to the victor.

WW1 American expeditionary force validates US influence in Europe. WW2 Western front stabilizing policy causes Eastern Front war of Attrition. Revolutionary war grants America impunity to advance on Native nations and slaves. Civil war was basically a Southern Revolution for states rights and preservation of an agrarian traditional society against industrialism that the South might have won if not for slavery. 1812 U.S. failed attempt to annex parts of Canada.

I know what I'm talking about and I will answer any point you want me to address but if all your going to say is thats pathetic then I'm discussing this with someone quite frankly who is rather pathetic.

China is an industrial goliath. This features upside and downside trends like any huge economy. The U.S. traditionally has prospered benefiting from economic autonomy. We are now part of a world economy.

America has profited on war influence peddled created coup,and only gives aid to promote propaganda. This country has taken so much more than it has given back and now faces a Chinese asian regional economic blockbuster. This is just the history as it ties to current events.
