Well we need to stop thinking of society as a whole. There are many different groups of people and bias. Privilage is just favourirism but everyone has different opinions. Anyone can have priviliage if they are favoured in the public eye. Male privlilage does exist but so does female privilage. Male privilage is more shown though. But just because you don't see female privilage as often, it doesnt mean that is doesnt exist.
male privilege does exist a couple of examples being in 3rd grade I was catcalled walking home from school remind you I was eight or nine and remind you i had to be at least 25 and I got in trouble for dressing "provocatively" in my barbie dress that was just above my knee's. in 6th grade, I was called a whore after telling my boyfriend at the time I was sexually assaulted as a kid. when I was 12 I was swimming at the pool and a guy touched my ass it was my fault though. men are constantly getting the better situation when he can't keep his hands to himself i get asked stupid questions about what i was wearing and what did i say to him. its unfair and unjust.
When a woman is sexually promiscuous she is seen as a slut whereas with men in most cases they are praised
women get payed less on the fact that they are women. There is literally no excuse for that because women can do anything guys do if the excuse is them having children, many women try to postpone having children for success in work which is messed up.
The word feminist is sometimes associated with negative views on men which also sucks
Dress codes are designed to make women ashamed of their bodies and make cover themselves up because they look “distracting” but women don’t dress to attract attention from men
these are just a few points on why male privilege exists and I haven’t even mentioned the violence towards women and how several countries‘ laws try to pin the fault on women instead of the actual people that commit the crimes. In conclusion the patriachy exists and no matter how successful a woman is she will always be seen as just a woman.
