We have surpassed the need for months to be devoted to minorities because it seems most people (and companies) only care about these people during these short period of times, which is becoming detrimental to the bigger picture of minority rights, relevance and history. So rather than have months where black history is exclusively taught, it should be fully integrated into the education curriculum so it isn't swept under the carpet for the rest of the year when it isn't deemed relevant.

It is to celebrate both the civil rights act and the stonewall riots, which gave those minorities their rights. I believe they should be allowed to celebrate getting their rights after fighting for so long and now they finally have freedom. By your logic we should also get rid of veteran's month, but of course you should disagree with this for various reasons. They've earned their pride and history month so more people can be educated on what happened in the past to those minorities to prevent it from ever happening again.
