Everyone is racist.

Couldn't be further from the truth, it's more of a big misunderstanding.

I agree to somewhat extent, I know at times everyone has made a silly mindless remarks that are insulting to a particular race, majority of the time these comments were made without the intention of causing harm, usually its just a comment made before the person thought about how it may be perceived. So to some extent yes, I agree everyone is racist at times or has been in the past, however most people have been racist unintentionally therefor I withdraw my comment agreeing because simply making a mistake and saying something offensive and racist without realizing does not make that individual a racist person, it makes that person an individual who made a racist comment unintentionally. However if someone consciously and actively makes racist comments knowing exactly what they're doing is offensive and harmful then yes, I would consider that person racist. So overall no, I don't think everyone is racist, I think everyone is capable of being racist without wanting to cause harm or offense but once realizing what they've done was wrong, then it should come to an end, if not then yes that person is racist. So the statement "Everyone is racist" is overgeneralizing because no, not everyone is racist, unfortunately many are.

It is just like they say about the police "profiling" every one profiles things, judgement is a safety mechanism of the mind. If you see something that has presented a danger to you in the past you are going to be careful about approaching that something in the future.

I think your ignorance got the best of you. No, everyone is not "racist", but yes, everyone is judgmental. Everyone generates there own opinions based on many factors. This does not make someone racist. It makes them human.
